As I mentioned a couple of Fridays ago the lovely Becky at Milk Bubble Tea had written 20 random facts about herself and I thought it was brilliant. A really nice way to learn a little bit more about the person whose words I read a lot. If you do decide to carry on this tag post please let me know so I can read some of your answers too!
Anyway, I thought I’d give it a go. I’m already starting to worry I won’t be able to think of enough things and you’ll find me terribly boring! Deep breath and here I go…
1. I love stars. Like really, really love them. They’re my favourite thing. I have 20 of them tattooed on me and one named after me.
2. I drink ridiculous amounts of tea. Milk, no sugar, in case you wanted to know. Every now and then I try to wean myself off it and drink fruit or green tea instead but I just always end up drinking more. There’s nothing a cup of tea and a cuddle can’t fix.
- 3. I LOVE stationery. It’s my favourite thing in the world. Notebooks, cards, pens, folders. If we go shopping and I’ve disappeared it’s usually because we’ve walked past Paperchase or something and I’ve been sucked in!
4. Hello Kitty is the cutest thing ever.
5. My favourite superheroes are Iron Man and Batman. I know they aren’t technically superheroes just very rich men with awesome toys and bad attitudes but I think that’s why I love them the most.
6. I am the voice of the Mecca Bingo customer services telephone line. Yep, that’s me telling you to push 1!
7. I still love pop punk more than I probably should.
8. All these pop band reunions that are going on at the moment just make me wish even harder for the Busted reunion we so desperately need!
9. When I was born my dad wanted me to be called Jolene rather than Laura. I blame this for my love of Dolly Parton.
10. I get bored with my hair on a very regular basis and as a result it has been every colour of the rainbow.

12. I have seven tattoos at the moment (15 multicoloured stars on my left foot, Josh Doyle lyrics on my right foot, a checkerboard star on my right hip, the name of my favourite Kid’s In Glass Houses song on my right hip, three stars on my right wrist, an anchor on my right wrist and a shooting star behind my left ear) and six more planned that I want.
13. Taylor Swift is my guilty pleasure.
14. I really enjoy trashy TV. Made In Chelsea being a particular favourite.
15. Formality freaks me out. I’m too clumsy as it is so formal settings just emphasise this.
16. I’m freezing cold pretty much constantly. I get laughed at in work for having emergency fingerless gloves and a hot water bottle on my desk and I always get moaned at for turning the air conditioning off.
17. When I was young I was a gold medallist in ballroom and Latin American dancing.
18. I’m actually quiet shy until you get to know me. Although I have built up this front of being more outgoing than I really am that I tend to put up to disguise it. Does that even make sense?
19. Despite my increasing age, I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up.
20. I really love learning new things but only when they produce things I can see and decide if I’m any good based on them. You know, things like knitting and baking where I produce a finished product to assess.
So there we go, twenty useless pieces of information about me.
