Link Love: August

29/08/2013      2 Comments

I can’t believe it’s the end of August already. This year seems to have got a shifty on all of a sudden and it’s flying past. I have to admit, as much as I’ve loved the glorious weather we’ve had I’m looking forward to getting some snuggly jumpers and cardis into my wardrobe. Boots and jumpers are my favourites.

July is now a distant memory and I can’t believe how many things I’ve saved to share with you since the end of it. Anyway, enough time-wasting. These are all the links I’ve loved in August.

Blog posts I’ve loved

Michelle at Creature Type is re-drawing The Big Book Of Cats that she drew when she was 11. I love them!

Ally at Now That’s Pretty shared her Giles Deacon inspired gold dinosaur bag DIY. Amazing.

Grown Up Or Growing Up? this is a question that’s often plagued me and Whimsy tackles it brilliantly.

Laura at Cardboard Cities now has some of her gorgeous prints for sale you should buy buy buy!

Beat blogging block with Alexandra Franzen’s 88 pieces of fill in the blank inspiration.

The girls at Oh So Lovely made my ideal meal Garlic and Mushroom Baked Brie Wrapped In Puff Pastry. Dreamy.

Laura at Secret Diary Of A Fashion Journalist reminded me why I loved The Hills so much with a round-up of her favourite quotes.

Domestic Sluttery brought the bloody marvellous Oh Gosh, Cindy Etsy shop to my attention and now I need this Marilyn Monroe watercolour.

Samantha Zabell agrees with my theory that Tuesday is the worst day of the week over at Hello Giggles.

Things I’ve Learnt

How to make a good first impression.

6 behavioural signs that you’re an only child. Doesn’t mean I’m spoiled though.

As I try to lose weight I’m spurred on by seeing how much I’ve lost weighs the same as with I Lost What.

How to write an amazing bio courtesy of Alexandra Franzen again.

Can beautiful design make your CV stand out?

How to get over homesickness.

What London’s tube stations taste of.

Other stuff

Amanda Palmer sang a reply to The Daily Mail after they reviewed her boobs rather than her Glastonbury set.

The Permission Slip is a poem by Susannah Conway that really struck a chord with me.

The 90s Button gives you a random 90s music video every time you hit it. LOVE IT!

23 very famous quotes you probably get wrong. I was really surprised at some of them.

Sometimes you just forget about child stars after they finish being cute and on your TV. Here’s 10 child stars that turned into messed up adults.

Dina Goldstein photographed Disney Princesses and their not so happily ever afters.

8 freaking easy steps to procrastinate your Friday away. Like I needed any help.

15 unintentionally hilarious bootleg toys.

I found another reason to want to work at Innocent. They have a Lego wall.

Jennifer Lawrence only just missed out on making it on to my girl crush list but here’s 61 reasons I love her.

What do you think? Anything you enjoyed on there or something I missed out on? Let me know.

Kisses,

lojo
