Who doesn’t love a tag post every now and then, right? Kezzie did The Summer Tag recently and I thought I’d give it a go while it’s still season appropriate.
- What is your favourite thing about Summer?
The long days. The fact that when I go to work and when I come home it’s still light. I’m much more inclined to do something with my evening when it’s light rather than go home, lie on the couch and eat all the biscuits.
- Do you have a favourite Summer drink?
I don’t really have a drink that I only have in summer although I probably do drink more shandy. Haha. Daytime drinking is definitely the one in the summer. Nothing better than a sunny beer garden and a cold pint.
- Is there a special place you like to visit each Summer?
No not really, unless Leeds Festival counts? I’ve only missed one festival in the last 13 years and hopefully Steph and I will be returning this year. I occasionally toy with the idea of going to Reading instead as it’s so much closer but it would feel like I was cheating on Leeds.
- What’s your favourite make up look for Summer?
I don’t really change my make up look for summer. That’s bad isn’t it? I do tend to lay off the liquid foundation and just use powder instead so I’m not too shiny but that’s about the only change I make.
- Dresses or skirts?
Dresses, they’re so much easier. Although at the moment getting me out of my jeans is beyond the realm of possibility. I’m just not feeling the thought of getting my legs out completely.
- Festivals or vacations?
Both! There’s no way I could choose. I definitely go to more festivals than I do holidays, but ideally I’d do both.
- What’s your signature summer hair style?
This is a lot like my make up answer. I don’t tend to change it depending on the season. It’s either down and straight, a huge curly mess or tied back. I’m rubbish at trying to style my own hair. I’d love to have those gorgeous “undone”, beachy waves but it’ll never be me.
- What is your signature summer scent?
Oh my goodness, I am rubbish aren’t I? This summer it happens to be Paul Smith Rose but only because that’s what I happen to be using at the moment.
- Pool or beach?
Both, that’s what I really loved about our hotel in Mexico when we went on our honeymoon. It was right on the beach so I could lie there and look out at the sea and then go swimming in the pool, which was just behind me.
- BBQ or seafood?
Bits of both. I’m a bit funny about fish that’s too fishy and meat that has bones in.
- Do you tan or burn?
I tan mostly. I have burnt in the past but that’s my own silly fault for not wearing sun cream.
- Favourite Summer song?
I don’t have a particular song that makes me think of summer but anything pop punk normally gets me in the summer mood. Maybe something by New Found Glory or Blink 182.
