I love a cocktail but very rarely drink them at home. I don’t have all that much trust in my own mixology skills and I just don’t want to go to all that effort only for it to be horrible and get wasted. That’s why I usually settle for a beer or a gin and tonic if I’m feeling fancy.
Enter Tails and their premium, pre-mixed cocktails that are, to be blunt, absolutely bloody delicious.
I went with my old faithful cocktail choice, Pornstar Martini and I can honestly say I was so impressed. It was fruity and punchy and expertly tread that delicate line of being able to taste the alcohol but it not being way too boozy and overpowering. I find, sometimes, with a pre-mix, they can either taste just like juice or like I’m drinking perfume – they’re so strong. Not with Tails though, there was a nice hit of vodka but not so much that I was knocked out by it. In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I swerved the prosecco accompaniment completely.
Each bottle provides eight serves on average unless you’re particularly heavy-handed like me and use wine glasses instead of martini glasses then it becomes closer to four. That only means you don’t need to share as much! It does also mean that you don’t get the fancy feeling that you get when drinking cocktails usually. I’d definitely advise you to shake it over ice to get that lovely foam on the top and serve it in a martini glass with half a passionfruit floating on the top to get that proper bar at home feeling!
