Baking Made Simple

22/08/2013      1 Comment

So, I was out on Tuesday night and missed the first episode of the new series of The Great British Bake Off. Shock, horror! I know. It’s OK though I Sky +d it and watched it last night instead. *Spoiler alert* I liked Toby so I was sad to see him go. I’ve already started picking my favourites though. I like Lucy, Frances and Robert. I hope they all get to the final.

The Great British Bake OFf

I’ve decided I want to up my baking skills and I definitely need to start practising more. Sometimes even the thought of baking from scratch is a bit of an effort so when the lovely people over at Prezzybox told me they had a few ways to make baking easier I had to hear what they had to say.

Mess free way to get your cakes quick!

Sometimes I don’t have time to faff about. By using some of these oven-free ways to make your favourite treats, baking becomes a quick and efficient way of making some scrumptious cakes! Offering a Mini cupcake maker, Brownie bites maker, Cake pop maker, Pie pops and Soft pretzel maker kit, Prezzybox have saved the day. Yet again.

If you fancy doing something a little different and want to impress your friends and family, why not have a look at getting your hands on the Giant cupcake tin, I <3 Cake Mould or our Doodle Bread Making Kit. These lovely baking accessories turn your average cake into something a little bit more special!

Keeping your ideas fresh

A dedicated baker may not be a dedicated artist, right? Slapping on the buttercream may not be enough when hosting that special ‘do’, so get your hands on the awesome Hummingbird Bakery Cupcake Decorating Kit. You’ll never run out of new ideas on how to perfect the art of cake decoration.

Odd little gadgets making your baking is a piece of cake!

We often come across little gadgets that once used, you can never live without. Long gone are the days of the egg-shell spill and tip. Separate your eggs in style with this Quirky Pluck Egg Yolk Separator. Perfect for the baker, or the egg white omelette maker; this gadget will forever ensure you don’t get the 2 bits mixed up again! How does this INGENIOUS contraption operate, I hear you ask? Crack your egg into a bowl, squeeze your separator over the yolk and suck it up. The yolk can then be squeezed into the bin (or re-used). Yes, amongst the gasps of disbelief, it really is that simple.

Get digital!

Why we still use balance scales to this day is beyond me! A digital measurement, especially in baking, ensures accuracy, less wastage and better results! Grab yourself the Prezzybox Digital measuring bowl and scales and the Digital Measuring Jug and perfect the art of baking today.

And finally…

Want to look the part and make sure they know who the baking boss is? Well, with our Queen of Tarts Apron or even your very own Personalised Queen of the Kitchen apron, you’ll make sure everyone knows who the best baker in town is. Own it!

What do you think? There’s certainly a few things in this list I’m keen to pick up. Especially those scales and a few of the cake maker kits in the first point. Pie pops look wicked!

If any of these tickle your fancy (or anything else on Prezzybox for that matter) use the code PREZZYBLOGGERS100 for 10% off. Let me know in the comments if you get or already have any of these things and if they really do make your life easier.

Kisses,

lojo
