Friday Favourites

08/02/2013      Leave a Comment

There’s a bit of a bitter sweet taste to this weeks Friday Favourites but I’ll explain that when I get there. A lot of good things did happen though.

It's Friday

In fact, a lot of good things happened.

<3 Tom and I went on a last minute trip back to Liverpool on Friday night which meant road trip fun times! Random CD choices, loads of sweets, XFM playing awesome songs and the odd conversations that occur when you’re stuck in a little car with someone for 4 and a half hours!

<3 The reason we went to Liverpool was to have a look at the Council Chamber in Liverpool Town Hall as a possible venue for our wedding ceremony. I had already decided I liked the look of it based on the photos on the internet but Tom thought it might feel like being on trial. Luckily though he loved it and now we have both venues booked for the wedding!

<3 The trip home also gave me a chance to surprise my best friend, Hannah, with a visit and to drop off her birthday present. The look on her face when she opened the door was brilliant! I wish I’d thought to have my phone camera ready so I could share it with you. It also meant we could go to our favourite breakfast place, Moose Coffee, on the Sunday for coffee before we left. Also, it’s not her birthday until 13th February so she better not have peeked at her present! (Although I love one part of it so much I’ll blog about it on her birthday!)

<3 Now for the bitter sweet section, like I mentioned the other day Fall Out Boy are back! I am so ridiculously excited and happy that the hiatus is over but I didn’t manage to get tickets to the show at The Underworld in Camden in about 2 weeks time. I’m very upset about this!!

<3 A couple of my friends from home are running the Liverpool Half Marathon soon for The Open Door Centre in Wallasey. It’s a very worthy cause the supports young people suffering from depression and anxiety. You can sponsor them and read about how 3 deeply unhealthy music promoters are running a long way for a good cause here.

<3 I discovered Pilfered today and need everything. I’m most gutted that the Spring Time Tea Set is sold out because it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I do 100% need this Bombshell Brew tea cup and saucer though. How incredible?

<3 I lost my iPod about 3 or 4 years ago and never got round to actually replacing it as I always had Tom’s old iPod Nano or my iPhone to listen to. Then, earlier this week I dug out my brown fur coat (I’ve been freezing cold) and found it in the pocket! I have worn this coat since my iPod went missing so I don’t understand how I never found it before. Weird huh? Anyway I’ve been listening to it and rediscovering some brilliant bands I used to love. In particular, Limbeck. They were excellent and you should check out the video for their song Julia here.

<3 Finally, it’s McFly-day.. McFriday… something like that anyway!

McFly – look how much make up Danny has on!

To celebrate this magic day that graces us but once a week I thought I’d remind you of that time they covered Dynamite by Taio Cruz in the Live Lounge!

Have a good weekend!

Kisses
