Once the New Year has been and gone, you soon find that the months start passing by really quickly. When you are a busy mum as well it helps if you can plan things in advance so that you know what you are doing and in order to book the best experiences for your children. So if you need a little inspiration on what to do during the Easter holidays with your children, then here are some ideas to get you going.
Go To a Theme Park
You could head to a nearby theme park resort for the day or instead book one that is further away so that you can spend the night away at a hotel. It will feel like a mini holiday as well. There will be lots of fun rides and arcade games to keep the children busy during the day, so definitely no chance of getting bored here.
Book a Relaxing Retreat Away
Why not escape the British weather and instead head off to a wintry mountain resort with skiblue.co.uk for the holidays. You can book your own nice chalet which will give you privacy and you will be located right next to the mountains so the children will certainly be kept busy with skiing and snowboarding during the day before you head back to the chalet for a relaxing evening.
Spend Time Together at Home
You might want to have a couple of days to relax at home where you can spend some quality time together. You could do a craft activity like painting and drawing which will enable them to use their creative mind, or play a board game together which encourages both competitiveness and team spirit. Anything that does not involve them glued to the tv or ipads playing a game will be something refreshing and enable some much needed bonding time.
Go To a Nature Reserve
To encourage your children to get up off the sofa and out of the house, you could visit a nature reserve which will have plenty to explore. There will be history to learn and lots of walking which will be good for them to get some exercise. You can also teach them about the local nature and why it is important to conserve. Children respond well to interactive activities so anything you can do to make the day more enjoyable will certainly help. You could print out various different species of birds or plants for them to identify and the one that completes this challenge first will receive a fun reward.
Overall the most important thing is to be able to spend some much needed time with your children during the holidays whilst you also have a bit of a break from work as well.
